I`m Marlene Machry Cadó. I`m 68 years old and I`m now a retired teacher.
I`ve been joined this group since 2001, and that happened through my mother, Helga Shenkel Macry, who has invited me to join the group, as she was an active participant of it. In this group, we have beautiful moments of conviviality every Friday. I do like to paint. My favorite subject is nature, on its colors, shapes, lights and shadows. Art in general captivates me. I believed creativity, a good drawing and harmony are keys for a good job. My search, while painting, is for the beauty which I consider fundamental in art work. When painting, we are expressing ourselves, communicating with the world.

Since I was a child, painting on canvas had always touched deep in my soul. I always liked the brushes and the colored paints. I started to learn how to paint when I was over my sixties, and I got amused with the woman’s group in it’s woman different ages with their beautiful work on canvas.
There was an active and experienced teacher to lead the group safely and sensitivity, all in a good will, enthusiasm and a child joy. So I was getting involved with the screens, paints and brushes. I keep on
learning for that it makes me feel good, makes me happy, makes me complete. Expressionism and Impressionism movements are my preferences, ending up on being those may painting style. Pure art is the highest contemplation by the creatures. Traveling  in the divine universe, we met with people with similar goals and ideologies…
the soul follows this movement to rediscover the cooperation and integration feelings in a constant learning that is life and this light that enlightens consciences in the beautiful art of painting in canvas.
Create with joy and evaluating every move made by the brush in it’s color shades that masterfully paints the beauty and feelings, while playing in ludic play strokes, skills that are lost in the dawn of life.
We traveled in the Light.
